Appointment of Vicky Marshall
We would like to announce that, with effect from 1st May 2024, Vicky Marshall has been appointed to the role of Director at TeamMCR. A trained secondary PE Teacher, Vicky brings significant experience to the role after over 20 years as Partnership Manager at Liverpool School Sport Partnership along with roles at the Youth Sport Trust and as a Children and Young People’s advisor for Liverpool City Council.
Vicky’s appointment comes about as a result of Claire Wilson’s decision to retire from her role as Interim Chief Executive having played a key role in growing the organisation over the last 5 years.
Chair of TeamMCR, Eamonn O’Rourke, said:
“I am delighted to be able to appoint Vicky to this role. She brings extensive strategic expertise to the role that will enable TeamMCR to maintain it’s current strong position in the city and also grow and develop an excellent offer of Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport services for schools and key partners. I would also personally like to take this opportunity to thank Claire for all her dedication and hard work in developing TeamMCR over the years particularly around the significant impact that she had in moving the organisation to charitable status, the development and growth of the board and the establishment of a range of broader partnerships all laying the strongest of foundations for the next chapter of development for TeamMCR.”
Vicky Marshall said:
“I am very excited to be starting this role. TeamMCR is an organisation that is highly regarded both within the city and with key regional and national partners. I look forward to building on the strong foundations that are already in place by strengthening partnerships and growing the services that we provide to schools as part of our core offer”
