Message from our Chairperson
Eamonn O’Rourke
I would like to welcome and thank you for joining us again for the 2026-27 academic year.
Our aim is to be a leading Manchester charity that is passionate about developing the whole child through PE, as well as sport and Physical Activity. We aim to make Manchester’s children and young people the most active in Greater Manchester. Relationships are a key part of this for us and we are proud to have consistently engaged with over 80% of schools in the city through our programmes as well as building a range of strategic relationships with key partners.
With a new national PE and School Sport Partnerships Network being introduced this will be a particularly exciting year for our sector. We look forward to maximising the opportunities that the Network provides for the benefit of Young People in Manchester.
I wish you an active and enjoyable year with Team MCR and we look forward to seeing your children and young people enjoying all of the many opportunities across Manchester.
Eamonn
