Ashbury Meadow received their award for reaching out to neighbouring schools to set up a variety of sporting competitions for children of all ages and abilities. They have also introduced a range of sport-driven intervention groups for young carers, children suffering with anxiety and and requiring support with their emotional wellbeing. The introduction of an ’emerging talent’ after school club for year’s 2, 3 & 4 and an ‘elite development’ club for years 5 & 6 enabled more girls to access structured football sessions and has created a real passion for the game.
Well done to all.
