TeamMCR Pledge for Women and Girls in Sport

TeamMCR is proud to join Greater Manchester and Liverpool City Region in committing to close the gender gap in movement, sport, and physical activity. Aligned with the Brighton plus Helsinki Declaration, we are committed to creating equal opportunities for women and girls to play, lead, and thrive in sport. 

Across all our work strands, including Competiton’s, Festivals and events and our work with partners such as England Hockey, RFU, Lancashire Cricket club, the Barclays FA Girls’ Football School Partnership and MCR Active, we ensure every girl has the chance to play take part in sport at school, supported by high-quality teaching, local club pathways, and empowering leadership opportunities. 

Beyond this, we’re building inclusive pathways in coaching, officiating, volunteering, and sport management — ensuring equality is at the heart of everything we do.
