Primary PE Subject Leader Training
The Primary PE Subject Leader Training programme is a face‑to‑face CPD offer designed to support PE Subject Leaders and PE Co‑ordinators in leading high‑quality Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity across their school.
The training runs twice per year and is free for enhanced and partnership schools, with a small charge for non‑member schools.
Each session is needs‑led and bespoke, shaped by the priorities of Primary PE Subject Leaders, national guidance and the priorities for time of year. The training supports subject leaders to develop confidence, knowledge and leadership skills across all aspects of the role, with a strong focus on Physical Education, alongside School Sport and wider Physical Activity.
Content is topical and cyclical, ensuring relevance to current curriculum development, funding requirements, inspection frameworks and statutory responsibilities. Every session includes a core Safe Practice in PE element to support safe, inclusive and effective delivery.
